Seven-Chakra TantraTM is a spiritual practice that's been brought forth by Mercedes Kirkel. The term "Tantra" is a Vedic (ancient Indian) word that refers to the weaving together or uniting of opposites as a method for realizing spiritual unity or wholeness. (For a full explanation of what Tantra is, go to What Is Tantra?)
Seven-Chakra Tantra is about living the union of Love and Consciousness through all the chakras, or subtle energy-centers, of the body.

The spiritual practice of Seven-Chakra Tantra includes:
First Chakra (root chakra) ~ Located at the base of the spine, this energy-center is focused on survival, safety, food, our physical body, and our material environment.
The practice of fullness in this chakra includes having healthy and strong bodies (yoga & exercise, natural diet, living close to nature, natural healing modalities); growing organic food and living sustainably in relationship to Earth; beautifying and honoring the Earth through art, landscape, and ritual.
Second Chakra (emotional/sexual center) ~ Located in the region of our genitals and slightly above the first chakra, this energy-center is focused on our etheric energy body, which includes our emotions, sexuality, sensitivity to our own and others' energy, and relationships.
The practice of fullness in this chakra includes valuing and expressing our emotions, energy, and sexuality to enrich life; living our spirituality through our relationships; healing emotional wounds from our past; engaging our Spirit-inspired passion; and raising whole children.
Third Chakra (solar plexus) ~ : Located in the soft-tissue region above our navel, this energy-center is focused on our personal power, which includes our will, intention, life-purpose, career, and relationship with money.
The practice of fullness in this chakra includes power-sharing and partnership cooperation; living our individual and collective life-purpose; maintaining the intention to bring Love and Consciousness (Light) in all our interactions; living as conscious manifestors for the highest good of all.
Fourth Chakra (heart) ~ Located at the center of our chest in the heart region, this energy-center is focused on opening to love, including the Divine manifestation of Love.
The practice of fullness in this chakra includes living on the basis of heart-connection and Love , through giving & receiving life in words, actions, touch, and healing; serving the manifestation of Light in the world; following our spiritual path; and practicing abundance-consciousness.
5th Chakra (throat) ~ Located in the center of the throat, this energy-center is focused on expression and creativity.
The practice of fullness in this chakra includes transparent communication, speaking the truth, and expressing gratitude; bringing life-serving creativity to all circumstances; and spiritual expression through the arts and beauty (music, dance, art, and theatre).
Sixth Chakra (third eye) ~ Located between the eyebrows, this energy-center is focused on spiritual awareness and insight, connection to Transcendental Consciousness, and telecommunication.
The practice of fullness in this chakra includes connection to the Transcendental through meditation and prayer; maintaining conscious connection with the Divine in all moments; and connecting with our higher self, Spirit-guides, and Beings of higher realms through intuition, insight, inner vision, inner hearing, inner sentience, and inner knowing.
Seventh Chakra (crown) ~ Located at the top of the head, this energy-center is focused on reception of Divine Light, connection with our I AM Presence, and unity with Life and the Divine in all forms.

The practice of fullness in this chakra includes receiving and transmitting Divine Light; living our unity with the Divine, ourselves, and all of Life; manifesting unity-consciousness in relationship with others; and living on the basis of joy.
