My first love was dancing. Even as a young child, I felt ecstatic when I danced, and I loved sharing that ecstasy with others. Eventually this passion led me to a B.A. in dance education, followed by over 20 years of teaching dance to children and adults, sharing my joy with others through movement and bodily expression.

When I was 8 years old, I had my first conscious awareness of a greater dimension than the ordinary realm. It came as my birthday was approaching, and I was extremely excited to celebrate that occasion, as children tend to be. And indeed, my birthday was a wonderful event by conventional standards. Yet I was left afterwards with a definite sense that "there must be more to life than this."

Two events occurred at the age of 12. The first was that I began to have images and memories surface of having been with Jesus in the desert. I clearly saw about 100 people who were following him at that time, and I was one of them. It never occurred to me to tell anyone about these memories, as I didn't think that anyone would understand.

The second event was that I became fascinated with east Indian traditional spirituality. I started taking out books from the local library on Hinduism. The only ones that were available at that time were very scholarly texts, and though I couldn't understand most of what was presented, I was undaunted in my efforts to read and digest what I found.

In my late teens and early 20's, my life-path continued to include spirituality, first through studying the writings of Mahatma Ghandhi, and then through practicing hatha yoga, Indian meditation and chanting, and Zen Buddhism. At 21, I was introduced to the teaching of the Tantric spiritual realizer, Adi Da (also known as Bubba Free John, Da Free John, and Da Love-Ananda), and I became his formal devotee. I actively participated in the Adi Da spiritual community for 17 years, writing and editing books, birthing and raising a child, teaching in the spiritually-based schools, meditating, studying, and passionately engaging the whole process. Then I moved on to another Tantric spiritual community, culminating my spiritual quest with Saniel Bonder in the Waking Down community. There I experienced a profound awakening into the unity or certain oneness of the two parts of reality that had always seemed fundamentally separate — my ordinary, mortal, limited self (including my ego, my soul, and on a larger scale, my identification with all of manifestation) and my inherent Self-nature as Infinite Consciousness and ultimate Connectedness, or Unconditional Love. This was truly the fulfillment of my spiritual search.

After that spiritual awakening, I continued for another year as a teacher in the Waking Down process, helping others in their spiritual journey. During that time a new direction began to grow in me, as I started yearning for greater connection with the Earth and living in community with others who valued Earth-based spirituality. I studied with a Native American shaman, and began practicing the ancient pagan tradition of Goddess-based spirituality, after having memories return to me of engaging this form of spirituality in previous lifetimes. I also started to have visions of leading groups of people in spiritual rituals at a beautiful lake and on the side of a volcano. And I studied belly dance, with memories surfacing of having been a temple dancer in past lives and remembering the dance as a record of esoteric knowledge for awakening the kundalini.

In 1999, I moved to Hawaii, very close to a gorgeous lake (that looked just like the one in my visions!) and less than an hour away from the actively erupting volcano of Kilauea. In Hawaii, I began studying, and then teaching, Nonviolent Communication — the communication process and deep philosophy brought forth by Marshall Rosenberg for connecting people at the heart and caring for everyone’s needs.

Simultaneous with this, my identity as a carrier of ancient Tantric wisdom began to reveal itself. I’d been engaging in Tantric practices for 20 years, which had evolved out of instructions I’d been given by my spiritual teachers. Yet I’d never particularly focused on this as special or unique — it just seemed natural to me. However, during this time I got introduced to many contemporary Tantra teachers and schools, and to my surprise I discovered that I generally knew more about Tantra than what was being taught in these schools. I began remembering past lives of being devoted to teaching and practicing the sacred path of union and ecstasy through mastery of sexual energy, and it became clear to me that I had a mission to teach Tantra. I also realized that what was different about the form of Tantra I wanted to share with others was my integration of sexuality — and all our human ordinariness — with awakened Love and Consciousness.

In 2007, I returned to another joy of mine — supporting parents in interacting with children in ways that nurture their bond and allow the adults’ and the children’s needs to both get met. I call this the partnership model of parenting, as opposed to the authoritarian or permissive modes. Years before, while still in the Adi Da Community, I first began teaching parent education, and I also authored the Conscious Childrearing series. When I later learned Nonviolent Communication, I became extremely hopeful about that approach supporting the kind of world I dreamed of for children and parents (and really all people, since children are our future). I now resumed teaching parent education, using the Connection Parenting system developed by Pam Leo and drawing deeply upon the model and tools of Nonviolent Communication.

2008 initiated another chapter in my spiritual unfoldment. At that time, a friend introduced me to a channeled book about Mary Magdalene that changed my life. In the book, Mary reveals that she was a priestess of Isis, who was prepared for her relationship with Yeshua (Jesus), so that together they could engage the sacred, esoteric practices of Divine transformation. I was magnetized to the practices she described, and found myself immediately and easefully engaging them. This initiated a deep process of remembering within me, as I connected with my own past as a priestess of Isis who was also one of Yeshua's followers during his life.

I began to connect directly with the Goddess Isis, who guided me in leading priestess training groups for other women. Over time, other Beings of Light, angels, and ascended masters began communicating with me, including Mary Magdalene, Lady Mary, Archangel Michael and other groups of angels, and Yeshua.

I received a message from Spirit in late 2009 that I was to leave the Big Island of Hawaii, where I had lived for 10 years. I took a few months to lead my last workshops there and to say good-bye to my friends and the land. In spring of 2010 I headed for the mainland, not knowing where I was to settle. I spent the next six months traveling, spending time with my family and visiting areas I was drawn to. Eventually I was guided to Santa Fe, where my heart was ecstaticly connected to the Sangre de Christo ("blood of Christ") mountains; the amazing skies with dramatic rays of light, clouds, and streaks of lightning; the vibrant, multi-ethnic culture of art and music; the adobe architecture; and the great warmth of so many people that embraced me there.

Almost immediately upon settling in Santa Fe, Mary Magdalene began coming to me every morning with impassioned messages about what we need to do at this moment in time to move forward in our spiritual evolution. I recorded these messages faithfully, and watched as over the course of a month she transmitted a book to me. I am now in the process of completing this volume of amazing discourses, which I am calling Mary Magdalene Beckons: Join the River of Love.

The thread that has woven itself throughout all these endeavors has been the yearning in my soul for freedom, love, and aliveness. I’ve been moved to share my skills and talents with others because I’m passionate about supporting people on their paths towards heart-openness, connection, love, and spiritual awakening — especially in the areas of spirituality, emotional healing, relationships, and sexuality. And now I am greatly blessed to be supported in this with guidance from great Beings of Light and Love, who are devoted to helping us all in our spiritual growth. I believe we are living in unique and powerful times of transformation, and I am so grateful to "be here now."
